Aronowitz was pioneer of rock journalism who covered the arrival of the Beatles in the US, the early years of Bob Dylan, the Brill Building songwriters, and other central figures of the '60s. He was credited with introducing Bob Dylan to the Beatles and claimed that Dylan wrote his hit song "Mr. Tambourine Man" in the Aronowitz kitchen. He wrote for the Saturday Evening Post and the New York Post and published two books Bob Dylan & the Beatles and Bobby Darin Was a Friend of Mine.
