Estelle Bennett
Estelle Bennett was thr eldest member of the Ronettes, the singing trio (Bennett, her younger sister Ronnie, and their cousin Nedra Talley) whose 1963 hit "Be My Baby" epitomized the famed "wall of sound" technique of its producer, Phil Spector. The Ronettes were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. Bennett was found dead by police in her apartment after relatives had been unable to contact her, in Englewood, New Jersey on February 11, 2009.
