Ted and Joan Kennedy 1964

One afternoon, when Ted Kennedy was running for his first term for the US Senate from Massachusetts, he stood outside a factory gate and shook the workers hands as they left the mill.
As an older worker left the gates, Teddy stuck his hand out to him. The older man stopped,  looked Teddy up and down and said “Kennedy, they tell me you never held a job a day in your life”
There was an embarrassed pause while Teddy searched for an answer and the man said, “Well, let me tell you something kid, you ain’t missing a Goddamn thing”
