Maurice Albertson was the architect of the Peace Corps. A Colorado State University professor emeritus, Albertson and fellow CSU researchers Andrew Rice and Pauline Birky-Kreutzer were awarded a federal contract to design a model to encourage the nation's youths to serve in Third World countries.
